How to Transfer Your Contacts from iPhone to Android?

Method 1: Transfer using Gmail

  • Go to ‘Settings’ on your iPhone.
  • Click on ‘Mail’ then ‘Accounts’.
  • The Gmail account you are using will appear here. If it is not visible, log in from the ‘Add Account’ section.
  • Click on Gmail and open the Contacts toggle. In this way, your contacts will be synchronized with your Google account.
  • Sign in with the same Google account on your Android phone. And now your contacts are in front of you.

Method 2: How to transfer contacts using iCloud?

  • Go to ‘Settings’ on iPhone.
  • Enter your profile and tap iCloud.
  • Make sure the Contacts toggle is on before backing up
  • Click on ‘iCloud Backup’.
  • While the backup is complete, log in to icloud.com from your Android phone and sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Select desktop mode from the three-dot menu in Chrome.
  • Sign in, click ‘Contacts’.
  • Click the Gear settings icon you see at the bottom left, then click Export VCard.
  • Tap the gear settings icon a second time and tap ‘Export VCard’.
  • Your contacts will be downloaded in a VCF file, open the file.
  • You will be asked if you want to save your contacts on your phone or your email ID. When you select the phone, your contacts will appear on your Android device.

Method 3: How to transfer using the Google Contacts?

Contacts can also be easily transferred from iPhone to android using Google Contacts.

  • First, open Settings on your iPhone.
  • Go to ‘Accounts & Passwords’ and select ‘Add Account’.
  • Select Google.
  • Sign in to the Google account you will use with your Android phone that you want to transfer contacts to.
  • Switch the Contacts toggle on and press ‘Save’ button.

Method 4: How to transfer via an App

Another way to transfer contacts without using a computer is the My Contacts Backup application.

  • Download and launch the MCBackup app on your iPhone.
  • The app will ask you to access your contacts. Click OK.
  • Select the ‘Backup’ option.
  • Enter the email, send the VCF file to your Gmail account.
  • Open the email on your Android device you will be using.
  • Download the VCF file and transfer contacts.

Method 5: Export contacts to Gmail with iTunes

Transferring contacts with iTunes is as easy and convenient as any other method.

  • Download and launch iTunes on your iPhone.
  • Connect your device to computer.
  • Enter the information tab from the device summary page.
  • Click “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts”.
  • Select ‘Apply’ with your Google account username and password.
  • Allow Google to transfer your contacts to your Android device connected to the Gmail account.
