If you have realized that you have a wrong name on your Facebook account or simply if you just want to change your Facebook name you can learn it easily. Sometimes we can use a nickname instead of our real name and then we may want to change our nickname to the real name. Changing your name on Facebook is very easy but if you are not familiar with Facebook interface we showed the steps with pictures.
How To Change Name On Facebook
- Click the arrow button on the right.
- Tap “Settings&Privacy”, and go to “Settings”.
- Under the title of “General Account Settings” click “Edit” button near to your name.
- Enter your new name and click “Review Change”.
- As a last confirm your change.
Your name can’t include:
- Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters or punctuation.
- Characters from multiple languages.
- Titles of any kind (example: professional, religious).
- Words or phrases in place of a name.
- Offensive or suggestive words of any kind.
Other things to keep in mind:
- The name on your account should be the name that your friends call you in everyday life. This name should also appear on an ID or document from our ID list. There may be instances for using a name other than what appears on an ID document from our ID list for some profiles.
- Nicknames can be used as a first or middle name if they’re a variation of your authentic name (like Bob instead of Robert).
- You can also list another name on your account (example: maiden name, nickname, professional name).
- Profiles are for individual use only. You can create a Page for a business, organization or idea.
